The book 2023 is the second volume in the series and a compilation of daily entries from 1 January to 31 December 2023 that chronicle the year. While the book 2022 was written with a keen awareness of every moment of life, this book is more about experimentation and expanding the scope of the diary. It is like building an igloo by firmly stacking bricks together: a quest to capture whatever new images can be created with a diary.

As with the book 2022, a single table containing the year, month, day and day of the week plays a central role, created with the concept of a diary in mind. Instead of page numbers, the book uses dates, and the dates inserted in tabular form serve as both the time and the page number of the diary entry on the page. This book is distinguished from the book 2022 by the fact that each page of text is marked with a red pen cell to emphasise the date.
