In the exhibition “Powerplant”, Suji Jung experiments with the spatial translation of condensed drawing. In an enclosed space, she brings together gestural traces to create a silent yet powerful presence. She renders the drawing process tangible as both a visual and a physical-spatial gesture, for instance by rhythmically affixing stamps to the wall. These stretch out like a fine network of traces, simultaneously igniting a quiet, pulsating energy that drives the expansion and branching of forms into the space.
